Nine patients on trolleys at Mullingar ED today

The number of patients on trolleys at the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar today is nine.

Trolley Watch, the survey conducted daily by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, has found that all nine patients are in the Emergency Department (ED).

There are two patients on trolleys at the Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore today, both in the Emergency Department.

The Mullingar figure is the fourth highest again today.

The highest figure is 22, at both University Hospital Limerick and Cork University Hospital.

There are 19 patients on trolleys at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.

The national total in today's Trolley Watch is 120; of those patients, 107 are in Emergency Departments.

None of the patients is younger than 16.
