ORS team do coastline challenge for North Westmeath Hospice

ORS had big plans at the start of 2020 to organise a charity cycle to raise funds for North Westmeath Hospice.

Then the Covid pandemic struck, but the ORS CSR Committee quickly established a virtual charity event, setting a goal for staff to complete the challenge of walking, running and cycling the coastline of Ireland over the month of May – 3,171 kilometres in total.

With 13 days to spare, the team completed the challenge and reached a distance of 7,030 kilometres in total.

The ORS team presented the final cheque donation of €3,000 to the North Westmeath Hospice, a voluntary organisation that provides specialist palliative care services for the people of Westmeath. At the presentation were (from left) Carmel Cahill (North Westmeath Hospice), Sophie Eastman (North Westmeath Hospice), Eugene Duffy (ORS), Margaret Claffey (chairperson NWH), Alison Dale (ORS), John Brennan (ORS).
