Teen dance star in An Ríl Deal quarter finals

Bláithín Stenson has reached the quarter finals of An Ríl Deal on TG4, and her episode is being aired on Sunday week next, October 18.

Bláithín (age 14) is from Newtown, Horseleap and is a student at St Joseph’s Secondary School in Rochfortbridge.

She dances for The Emerald Lakes Academy of Irish Dance in Rochfortbridge, with Kevin Lyster.

Bláithín passed the audition stage – against hundreds of entries from around the country – to earn a place in the An Ríl Deal quarter finals.

She performed in front of the judges Breandán de Gallaí, Úna Ní Fhlathartha and Roy Galvin, and impressed them with her moves, and she also got to meet the Irish dancing star David Geaney, who gave her advice for her performance.

Bláithín’s episode is airing on Sunday October 18 (8.30pm), when she competes against seven other acts.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions this year, there was no live audience, but her friends Zofia, Ciara, Alice, Katie, Áine, Holly abd Doireann from Emerald Lakes helped out and participated in a Zoom audience.

Everyone has fingers and toes crossed for this young up and coming Irish dancing star!

To see how Bláithín gets on, tune in to TG4 on Sunday October 18 at 8.30pm.
