14 on trolleys in MRH Mullingar this morning

There were 14 people being treated on trolleys at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar this morning, according to the INMO's Trolley Watch survey.

All of the 14 patients were being treated in the hospital's Emergency Department.

Nationally, the INMO said that there were 233 people being treated on trolleys this morning, 200 in EDs and 33 on trolleys in wards. The hospital with the highest number of patients on trolleys was, once again, University Hospital Limerick (59 patients), followed by Cork University Hospital (37). There were 4 patients on trolleys in the ED at Tullamore hospital.
