Wet and windy weather on the way

While we can expect quite banal weather most of the weekend - cloudy with some passing showers, there is a major change on the way.

Starting Sunday, low pressure will begin to move in across the country, bringing unsettled conditions as early as tomorrow evening in some areas.

There will be spells of wet and sometimes quite windy weather.

Monday will be another wet and blustery day with rain becoming widespread in the morning.

Some heavy falls are likely with spot flooding in places.

East to southeast winds will reach 50 - 80km/hr, and stronger along the coast.

Maximum temperatures will range 11 to 14 degrees.

Windy and further spells of rain for Monday night, rain will be heavy at times with spot flooding.

Moderate to fresh south to southeast winds increasing strong to near gale and gusty near Munster and Leinster coasts. Minimum temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees.
