Council plans ‘Mullingar Greenway Recreation Hub’

Westmeath County Council is moving forwards with plans to build the ‘Mullingar Greenway Recreation Hub’ at Grange South, and is seeking submissions on its planning application.

The plans include junior bike trails and activity wall, walking and cycling trails, three pedestrian crossings and the continuation eastwards of the greenway along the north bank of the Royal Canal from Newbrook Bridge to the Green Bridge.

The council proposes the works under the Planning And Development Act 2000-2010 Part 8 Planning And Development Regulations 2001-2011

The plans can be viewed at www.westmeathcoco.ie and will be available for inspection or purchase at the Municipal District of Mullingar-Kinnegad, Áras an Chontae, Mullingar (9.30am-4pm daily, excluding weekends and bank holidays) from Wednesday October 21 till Thursday November 19, 2020.

Submissions

Submissions or observations on the proposed development can be made in writing to Westmeath County Council and addressed to the Administrative Officer, Municipal District of Mullingar- Kinnegad, Áras an Chontae, Mullingar, to arrive not later than noon on Friday December 4, 2020.
