Dot Love’s All The Mollies wins at Kilkenny meeting

Mullingar trainer Dot Love sent out All The Mollies to win the VisitKilkenny.ie Apprentice Handicap at Gowran Park on Wednesday.

The six-year-old gave Siobhan Rutledge her fifth winner of the season when beating Ado McGuinness’ Stellify by a length and a half.

The 13/2 winner carried the of the Go Golfin Syndicate and was recording her third career win and her first in three years.

Ciaran Murphy, assistant to the winning trainer said after the race: “She loves that heavy ground. It’s been a long time coming but it’s great that she has done it. We have to thank the stalls handlers who persisted and persisted to get in her in and it eventually worked.”

On the same afternoon, the Aidan O'Brien-trained Van Gogh won the Criterium International under Pierre-Charles Boudot at Saint-Cloud in France. On Sunday, Joseph O'Brien’s Baron Samedi won the Group 2 Prix du Conseil de Paris at Longchamp under Mickael Barzalona.
