Weather: cloudy, wet and mild

Met Éireann have issued a yellow wind warning for tomorrow Wednesday for the west and south, namely counties Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.

In the Midlands, it will be wet to begin with, before turning gusty with fresh southwest winds increasing strong and gusty by the afternoon.

Meanwhile today, Tuesday, will be a generally cloudy and damp day, with outbreaks of rain or drizzle throughout. It will be breezy too at times, with fresh to strong southwest winds.

A mild day with highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.

Rain will turn heavier and more persistent in western coastal counties tonight, slowly spreading eastwards overnight.

Staying mild for much of the night but becoming cooler towards dawn with temperatures decreasing to between 8 to 12 degrees.

Southwest winds will be fresh to strong, but moderating from the west overnight.
