Cronin join U2 on Friday's Late Late Show Busk for Simon

This Friday night, Longford Mullingar band Cronin take to the stage alongside U2 and a host of other stars for a very special Late Late Show in aid of the Simon Community.

"This will certainly be a night to remember with the best of Irish talent in one room coming together for some incredible performances," commented Late Late Show host, Ryan Tubridy.

Johnny and Mick Cronin, Fiachra Milner and Brian Murphy will join the likes of Glen Hansard, Bono, The Edge, Imelda May, Hozier, John Sheahan, Finbar Furey, Shane MacGowan, Danny O'Reilly, Roisin O, Declan O'Rourke, Lisa O'Neill and Kodaline's Steve Garrigan for The Late Late Show Busk for Simon.

Started by Glen Hansard, the busk for the Simon Community on Dublin's Grafton Street has been going for ten years, raising much needed funds for Ireland's homeless.

The evening will be filled with special performances and in return Ryan Tubridy says viewers will be asked to dig deep to donate to the Simon Community:

"To help our brothers and our sisters who are currently homeless to get off the streets, to be safe, to be warm, to be treated with dignity and decency and ultimately to get the type of secure housing that everyone deserves."

Cronin, whose video for the 'The Power of Love' Christmas single dropped this week, are planning a festive show of their own on Sunday December 27.

"We're hoping to bring Christmas cheer with a live set of originals and some festive classics via a live stream on December 27," says frontman Johnny Cronin.

"Like most of the music industry this year, we've had no live shows since March. And normally we'd be looking to play number of hometown gigs over the Christmas period.

"But with the restrictions as they are, that is not happing this year so, we've planned a one-off global live streamed event which will go direct to your living room or wherever you may be."

This multi camera live stream event will be recorded at Transmission Rooms recording studio in Drumlish to enjoy live on the night or with one week to catch up.
