Sub-zero temperatures to return next week with prospect of snow

Current indications suggest it will turn colder into next week with sharp to severe frost and ice, according to Met. Éireann.

Falls of sleet and snow are expected, mainly over east Leinster for the early days of the week.

It will start turning very cold from Sunday night with a widespread frost and ice.

Scattered wintry showers will move into eastern counties and across northern coasts with a possible dusting of snow possible.
