WATCH: Ballyharney celebrates St Patrick's Day

The people of Ballyharney, a cul-de-sac country road near Multyfarnham, showed how tight knit and vibrant their community is on St Patrick's Day.

When, for the second year in a row, there were no parades or formal events (apart from some hosted online), the families of Ballyharney got together, and - respecting social distancing and being aware for HSE advice regarding the coronavirus - held their own parade.

Local farmer and long time resident Pat Joyce was grand marshal and led the parade, and the result was a great day in the sunshine and great memories for everyone, young and old.

Great work by the following families, who took part: Jessops, Bardons, Hegartys, Smiths, Joyces, Ormes and Bakers.

Each family had float or provided music or dancing and there was no mixing between one family and another.
