Mullingar triple in National Small Business Awards

There were three Mullingar winners, a first for the town, in the 2021 National Small Business Awards, on Friday night.

Whelehans Pharmacy won the Services Category (up to 50 employees), sponsored by Microsoft;

Bevcraft won the Innovator of the Year Category (up to 50 employees), sponsored by  Permanent tsb; and

Wholesome Kitchen was a winner in the emerging new business category (up to 50 employees and under 2 years in business), sponsored by  .ie.

The SFA National Small Business Awards competition is open to all companies in Ireland with up to 50 employees.

Congratulations to the three businesses and their teams. The awards are due recognition of the entrepreneurial spirit that exists in Mullingar.

All three businesses increased staff since the start of the pandemic and all three have expansion plans and hope to create still more jobs.
