1428 Club notes

Opening hours

It was uplifting to see many of the faces back in the club in the last week. Our opening hours are 10am to 3pm, Monday to Thursday, and we have small numbers in each group, on an appointment basis so that members can meet for a cuppa and a chat safely. If you would like to attend, give us a call, so that we can arrange a time for you. Fridays remain as a drop-in morning. All guidelines and protocol including sanitizing and social distancing are in place at all times for your protection.

Help from our services

We continue to offer our assistance for essential services support, queries, alarm applications. In the meantime, if you need assistance, call us at the Club on 0449384290. We will do our best to help and it will be done in the most confidential manner.

Work on your home

If you are you having essential work or renovations done in your home, check what grants are available before agreeing anything with a builder. Westmeath County Council has the information at this online site – search ‘Housing Adaptation Grants Older People and People with Disability on westmeathcoco.ie. The phone number of Westmeath County Council is 0449332000. Always use a reliable tradesman – ask your trusted friends for recommendations. If you need help in making the application, contact us and hopefully we can help.

SAS Monitored Alarms

Are available and we recommend them to those who don’t have them. They are free to anyone over 65 and the first year monitoring is also free. Call the club on 04493 84290 if you would like to know more about them or make an application.
