National award for jobs firm founded by Multyfarnham based businessman

A recruitment firm founded by a Multyfarnham businessman has won the Small Business Marketing category in The Marketing Institute’s All Ireland Marketing (AIM) Awards 2021.

Mark Fallon, is director and co-founder of Coopman Search and Selection, which was named as winner at this year’s AIM Awards ceremony, which was virtually hosted by Bryan Dobson on Friday May 21. The firm specialises in financial services recruitment.

Originally from Longford, Mark now lives in Multyfarnham with wife Nancy and two children, Anna Beth and Henry. An avid GAA fan, Mark is an active player with Multyfarnham GAA Club and manages the U10 Multyfarnham girls football team also.

What won the award for Coopman Search and Selection was a presentation showing the innovative tactics it used to get its name known and to generate business despite Covid-19.

Mr Fallon and his business partner, Andrew Murphy, founded Coopman Search and Selection in November 2019.

Just three months later, as news of the spreading virus gripped the world, the two made the decision to move the business operation to a remote environment.

“Due to the impact of Covid-19 on the employment market, we adjusted our business strategy and hired our first employee, a marketing manager which is quite unusual for a recruitment firm,” said Mr Fallon.

“We implemented a value-add marketing strategy in which we provided valuable, authentic and useful information and insights for our network to keep them abreast as to what was happening across the financial services industry.

“Over a year since the onset of the pandemic, we are starting to see the employment market return to some form of normality and as a result of the marketing approach taken by the company, Coopman Search and Selection is experiencing strong brand recognition and company growth.”

He said the award represented “incredible recognition of the creativity, resourcefulness and hard work” that the team has been putting in, to develop and grow a meaningful, engaging and impactful brand.

Alongside Coopman Search and Selection in the Small Business Marketing category included finalists Epic, The Irish Emigration Museum, DASH Container Café, izest Marketing and The Institute of Child Education & Psychology. The event audience also heard from Minister Paschal Donohue.
