Planning permission for 15 apartments on site of Oliver Plunkett Street night club

Planning permission is being sought for a 15-unit apartment development on the site of the former Lane Nightclub and its neighbouring building.

The planning application submitted by Meeting House Partners includes details for the demolition of “buildings and structures” to the rear of 39 and 41 Oliver Plunkett Street, the reconfiguration of the retained structures and the construction of a new structure between two and four storeys high.

It is proposed that the retained buildings will house two duplex apartments over ground floor retail space, while the new structure will comprise 13 apartments (five one-bed and eight two-bed) over more ground floor retail space.

The decision due date for the application is July 26.
