Weekend weather: 'dry and warm with long spells of sun'

It is to be “dry and very warm with long spells of sunshine and light breezes” this weekend, according to Met Éireann.

Daytime temperatures are predicted to reach 23 to 27 degrees, and a bit cooler on the coast due to sea breezes. The local forecast is for 22 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.

Met Éireann says the nights will be dry and clear, and some patches of mist and fog will form in light winds. Temperatures at night won’t fall below 11 to 15 degrees.

TOMORROW, FRIDAY JULY 16

Friday will be dry and very warm with sunny spells and light north to northwest breezes. Temperatures will generally reach 22 to 25 degrees, and less warm near the coast due to sea breezes.

Monday will be another dry, sunny and very warm day, with temperatures reaching 23 to 27 degrees. Again, it will be slightly cooler near coasts due to a sea breeze. Otherwise, winds will be light and variable. It will stay dry through Monday night, but some mist and fog patches will form. Temperatures on Monday night not falling below 11 to 15 degrees.
