WATCH: Lough Owel simmers raise €1,000 for local maternity unit
On Sunday last, August 29, of Lisa Duffy, physio, and Liz McGovern, ultrasound midwife, at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar, along with two friends, Maria and Mark, swam 3km across Lough Owel.
The swimmers raised more than €1,000 which will go towards the new bereavement room in the maternity unit at the hospital.
