Temperature to reach 23 degrees today

The temperature is set to reach 23 degrees locally today as our Indian summer continues.

According to Met Eireann, today will be be dry, humid and very warm with widespread sunshine across the country. The highest temperatures will be in the midlands.

Tonight will start off dry and clear in a lot of areas, however showers will start to move into Munster from the southwest early in the night, extending northwards to affect parts of Connacht and Leinster towards dawn, some turning heavy with a possibility of thundery downpours. It will be a very mild and muggy night with temperatures not falling below 13 to 17 degrees.

It will be warm and humid locally tomorrow, but a lot cloudier than today. The rain is set to make a reappearance locally on Thursday marking the end of the recent spell of good weather.
