Drugs seizure in Mullingar

A file is being prepared by the DPP following a drugs seizure in Mullingar at the weekend. Cannabis with an estimated street value of €1200 was discovered by members of the drugs squad during the search of a property in the town.

The search was a follow-up operation after a quantity of cannabis was found on a male when he was stopped by officers in the town.

The male was arrested and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
