WATCH: Mullingar karate club back in action

After a wait of over a year and a half due to Covid-19 restrictions, members of Mullingar Kyokushinkai Karate Club resumed classes on Saturday week last.

The club, headed by sensei Ken Fitzpatrick and operating out of the Parish Community Centre on Bishopsgate Street, has been on the go since 2001 and has produced many kyokushin practitioners who have participated in national and international competitions.

Last Tuesday night, Paul Hughes spoke to Ken and MKKC’s first female black belt, Allanah Arthur, about the club, the kyokushin school of karate, and what it has to offer prospective members as the country reopens.
