Council requests further information on Rochfortbridge power plant

Westmeath County Council has requested further information from the firm planning to build a €500m energy facility in Rochfortbridge.

The further information request relates to Lumcloon Energy Limited’s planning application for a gas fire power plant in the townlands Kiltotan, Collinstown and Oldtown.

The original decision due date for the application was yesterday, Monday November 15.

Lumcloon has also lodged a planning application for a battery energy storage system on the same 50-acre site. The decision due date for this application is November 23.
