Mullingar mimic Conor ties the knot

He’s great at doing impressions, but the best impression that comedy genius Conor Moore has ever left is on Donegal native Fiona McDonald, who married the Mullingar man on Saturday week last.

Conor and Fiona tied the knot at St Joseph’s Church, Rathmullan, County Donegal, and held their reception afterwards in nearby Rathmullan House.

The wedding was celebrated by Fr Martin Collum, PP, Rathmullan.

Conor (31) shot to fame a few years ago on his YouTube channel ‘Conor Sketches’, and appeared on RTÉ before landing his own show with the Golf Channel, based in the United States.

Fiona is based in Dublin as a buyer with Penneys.

Conor’s best man on Saturday week last was his brother, Mullingar Shamrocks footballer Dean Moore, and another of his siblings, New York-based attorney Darren Moore, joined Ciaran McDonald as a groomsman.

The bridesmaids were Sinéad (chief bridesmaid), Róisín and Niamh McDonald.

At the reception, a number of video messages and telegrams were sent the happy couple’s way, including a five-minute message from American golf legend Jack Nicklaus, who wished Conor and Fiona the best – and he invited them to visit him at his home.

In a post on Facebook, Conor described himself as the “happiest man in the world” and thanked everyone for making their wedding day at the “unbelievably stunning venue” of Rathmullan House so memorable.
