AON Mullingar Half Marathon funds presented to TEAM

The funds raised through the 2020 and 2021 AON Mullingar Half Marathons, totalling €36,500, have been handed over to the charity partner of the event, TEAM (Temporary Emergency Accommodation Midlands).

A spokesperson for the half marathon organising committee said they were delighted to make the presentation: “These funds are of great benefit to TEAM – they have not been able to fundraise as normal during the Covid pandemic, but they had to continue to provide the service.

Committee members on the day of the race this year (from left) Ken Whitelaw, Mary Hughes, Siobhan Flaherty, Majella Mohan, Terry Toal and Richard Toal.

The full volunteer committee are: Murty Hanly, Nuala-Anne Curley, Terry Toal, Richard Toal, Berty Dunne, Siobhan Flaherty, Mary Hughes, Martin Marshall, Robert Troy, Ken Whitelaw, Padraic Murtagh and Joan Mulvihuill.

The 2022 Mullingar Half Marathon will take place on St Patrick’s Day, Thursday March 17, and entries are now open at www.mullingarhalfmarathon.com.

The beneficial charity will again be TEAM in 2022.
