Camogie: Raharney man to manage Dublin’s intermediates

Former Raharney hurler Jimmy Greville has been appointed manager of Dublin’s intermediate camogie team for 2022.

Greville, who previously managed the Cavan senior camogie side and has coached extensively in Westmeath, has been welcomed to the Metropolitan setup by Dublin camogie board chairman Karl O’Brien.

“We welcome Jimmy to Dublin camogie. Jimmy arrives in Dublin having guided Cavan to the 2020 Nancy Murray Cup,” said Mr O’Brien.

“Jimmy was also coach to the successful Westmeath All-Ireland winning junior championship team of 2017 and All-Ireland intermediate team of 2019.

“We wish Jimmy and his management team the best of luck in 2022.”

Greville was an integral part of Westmeath’s rise to top-tier camogie in recent years, serving as a coach alongside his brother Johnny. His sister, Pamela – now retired from the sport – was a talismanic presence for that Westmeath side on the field.

Greville, who is also on the referees’ panel in Westmeath, has also managed the Westmeath minor camogie team.

Joining him in the Dublin setup will be Cullion clubman Jim Bob Baker as coach, and Rachael Doolin as a strength and conditioning coach.
