Mullingar Kyokushinkai Karate Club resumes classes

Mullingar Kyokushinkai Karate Club is up and running again at the local Parish Community Centre.

Kyokushinkai Karate is a traditional Karate style and Martial art. Participants can learn Self-defence, build their confidence, heighten awareness and maintain good fitness. Regular practice of Karate helps to strengthen body and mind and keeps you sharp and in good physical and mental shape generally.

The club, which has been established for over 20 years, is quite family orientated and it can be a great place to meet new friends and challenge yourself to get outside of your comfort zone by taking up something new, interesting, worthwhile and different.

There are many other Kyokushinkai Karate clubs throughout Ireland and the organisation is part of the International Federation of Karate also, with regular gradings and competitions, which are not compulsory in any way.

Classes are held every Tuesday and Saturday on a pay-as-you-train basis. No formal uniform is required to start, with just appropriate casual training wear needed. Karate is practiced barefoot.

New beginners are always welcome from Ages 6yrs – Adult (male/female) with no previous experience required. All one has to do is show up.
