The Blizzards have announced they have new music coming out tomorrow, Friday 11 February.

The Mullingar band have released details on social media, where they revealed that their new song, ‘Trigger Me’ is available to pre-save now.

Frontman Bressie (Niall Breslin) also took to his and the band’s Instagram accounts to explain more about the new track.

“Trigger Me is about that one person in your life, no matter how mindful or positive you are as a person, they just know how to push your buttons and get under your skin,” Bressie told his Instagram followers.

The Blizzards made a comeback last October when they re-recorded ‘Trust Me, I’m A Doctor’ with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to raise funds for Heroes Aid, and their new single ‘Friction Burns’.

In the social media videos, Bressie also reflected on a tough two years for everyone, but in particular how demanding Covid-19 has been for the music business.

“The music industry got particularly hard hit, and so much we didn’t control in that time, but what we did control was creativity and working together as a band. A lot of that music is starting to come out with Friction Burns and now Trigger Me,” Bressie added.

“A lot of people have asked over this time what the best way is to support the music industry and support artists, and the best way to do that is to pre-save the single,” Bressie told his followers.

The Mullingar band are Bressie, Dec Murphy, Justin Ryan, Anthony Doran, Louize Carroll and Aidan Lynch.
