Fagan on form in Washington State

Claire Fagan has raced in Washington State over the last two weekends at indoor track and field meets.

First up was a race over 5000m at the University of Washington’s Husky Classic, held at the Dempsey Indoor Track in Seattle, Washington.

Having led for most of the last two kilometers, Claire was rewarded with a new PB in a time of 16:32.08 as she crossed the line in second.

This week Claire raced at the Podium Track in Spokane, Washington, over the shorter distance of 3000m.

She covered the first kilometre in 3.13 and gradually moved through the field of 23 runners in subsequent laps.

She raced hard all the way to the line and covered the last lap of the 15 lap race in 35 seconds.

Her finishing time of 9.36.96 is a big PB and also earned her the bronze medal spot.
