WATCH: Pasquale from Dancing with the Stars surprises St Brigid’s School student

Emily Jennings, a student in Secondary Yellow class in St Brigid’s School, got the surprise of her life when her idol Pasquale La Rocca from Dancing with the Stars arrived at her classroom door to surprise her.

Emily couldn’t believe her eyes and was frozen to the spot in shock!

It was extremely endearing to see the reaction on Emily’s face and the excitement among the rest of her class mates to meet the dancer that Emily has been talking about for weeks, said school principal Joanne Jordan.

Emily attends dance class in Delvin every week with her teacher Nessa O’Reilly Lynch. Nessa was the founder of the Chance to Shine Project, a creative programme for young adults with disabilities.

Emily is also taking part in a block of dance lessons with Pasquale at Nessa’s studio.

The day after her classes, when back in school, Emily always passes on tips, and does demonstrations of her new steps and techniques for the other students and sometimes for Ms Jordan in the school yard.

Pasquale spent time chatting to Emily’s friends and the staff in her classroom before doing a dance demonstration with Emily in the classroom.

A tearful Emily hugged Ms Jordan after the visit, and said it was the best day of her life!

Pasquale took great time to showcase his dance moves and even had time for groups photos and a farewell dance in the school car park.

He left the group of young adults buzzing and full of giggles and their own future Dancing with the Stars candidate leading the way back to class.

St Brigid’s wish Pasquale all the best with Dancing with the Stars, and offer special thanks to Nessa for all the support she gives to many of the students to express themselves through creative arts.
