New superintendents assigned to local Garda Districts

An Garda Síochána has confirmed this afternoon the appointments and allocation of superintendents.

Superintendent David Nolan is being assigned to the Mullingar Garda District.

The statement read:

An Garda Síochána confirms the following allocation of superintendents which took effect from 21 February 2022 resulting from promotions and consequential allocations:

The following superintendents are assigned responsibility following promotion:

Superintendent Sinéad Greene to Garda National Protective Service Bureau.

Superintendent Patrick Connell to Bray Garda District.

Superintendent Finbarr Philpott to Strategic Transformation Office.

Superintendent Ronan Carey to Carrickmacross Garda District.

Superintendent David Kennedy to Raheny Garda District.

The following Superintendents are assigned responsibility on transfer:

Superintendent Darren McCarthy to Ballymun Garda District.

Superintendent Sorcha Fitzpatrick to Special Tactics and Operations Command (STOC).

Superintendent David Nolan to Mullingar Garda District.

Superintendent Michelle Baker to Athlone Garda District.

Superintendent Patrick O'Shea to Loughrea Community Engagement (Operational Policing Model).

Superintendent Gareth Walsh to Ballina Garda District.

Superintendent Jarlath Duffy to New Ross Garda District (5th February 2022 on repatriation from UN Cyprus Mission).
