St Malachy’s GAA get ready for ‘Big Breakfast’ event

St Malachy’s GAA are gearing up for their Big Breakfast fundraiser on St Patrick’s morning in Castletown Geoghegan Hall from 9.30am until 12.30pm.

The club is really looking forward to welcoming everyone back after being forced to abandon plans for the last two years.

When they last ran this fundraiser in 2019, they were astounded at the crowds that turned up, and they will be well prepared this year for all those families filling up with a ‘Big Breakfast’ before they head off to various parades, and also for those who have a busy afternoon ahead selecting their winners for Cheltenham.

A full Irish breakfast with tea, coffee, bread, etc costs just €8 for adults and €5 for U12s.

There will also be a kids’ fancy dress competition on the morning with prizes for all kids who dress up.

There will be a monster raffle for some great prizes such as large hampers, a giant Westmeath football Easter egg and much more, with the hampers on display in the Post Office and Drake’s, and the egg on display in Claffey’s Shop, where raffle tickets can be purchased in advance. Tickets are €2 a line or three for €5.
