The Academic will now play on April 30.

Changes to lineup for Bachelor Festival

The organisers of the Westmeath Bachelor Festival have announced some changes to the lineup for their festival on the May bank holiday weekend.

The changes are a result of changes in schedules by the artists, and Gavin James, The Academic and The Blizzards will now perform on the Saturday night, April 30. Tomás Nally, on behalf of the organising committee, said: “This will allow us to have an earlier opening time and to have more support acts on the stage prior to those headlining. All ticket holders for the Friday night gig have been informed via mail.

“Weekend passes will still include the Friday night of our festival – to which The Whistlin’ Donkeys and friends have just been added.”

The new line up for the festival is as follows: Friday April 29, The Whistlin’ Donkeys and special guests; Saturday April 30, The Academic, Gavin James and The Blizzards with support; MC, Rory’s Stories; Sunday May 1, (daytime), Nathan Carter, Cliona Hagan, Robert Mizzell and Olivia Douglas; MC, Joe Cooney (Midlands 103); Sunday May 1 (evening), Local heroes; Cronin, Paulie Martin and more. Details on the schedule of events are on the event website and social media channels.

“We thank you for your support of our festival. The line up promises for an electric weekend of music, craic and entertainment. We look forward to seeing you there!”
