The Railway Market stall holders organised and sponsored a raffle for the Irish Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal at last Saturday’s market in the Bandhall, Mullingar. Kaja Dziadosz and Sophie Walsh were among the traders helping with the appeal.

Railway Market Mullingar raffle raises funds for Ukraine

A raffle at the Railway Market Mullingar on Saturday last (March 12) raised €250 for The Irish Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

Patricia Magee, market organiser said: “Thank you to all the stall holders on the day for their contribution to the raffle – the prizes were three hampers and one lovely potted flower selection.”

The Railway Market opened on Saturday February 19 and it is continuing to grow as traders prepare for the next one, on Saturday March 26.

“We are delighted to welcome back our regular stall holders and we also welcome enquiries form new stall holders, particularly in the food area,” said Patricia.

“As it is Mother’s Day on Sunday March 27, a visit to the market would make a nice treat!”

Visitors will be able to browse the bric-a-brac area; eat lunch; have tea and coffee with a sweet treat; pick up cheese, fruit and veg; purchase skin care and aromatic bath products; pick up that special gift or flowers and more! A selection of gluten free products will also be available on the day.

The Railway Market opens at 11am, at The Bandhall (N91YY96) and runs till 3pm.

April dates are Easter Saturday, the 16th, and the following Saturday, the 23rd.
