Mullingar Tidy Towns and the Muiriosa Foundation are partners working to enhance the environment and appearance of the town, and a number of members from the foundation are volunteers who help with tasks such as litter picking and flower planting.

Goretti Coyne, a co-ordinator from the Muiriosa Foundation, recently made a request to the Tidy Towns on behalf of Geraldine Gorman, who loves to paint and plant window boxes.

The team were on the job promptly and chairperson, Bill Collentine, presented Geraldine with two window boxes and two large outdoor boxes for her to paint and plant – and now everyone is looking forward to seeing the finished products.
