A trip of a lifetime - Mullingar's young performers visit London

The young members of the stage school and youth theatre at Mullingar Arts Centre had a whale of a time during their recent trip to London.

Students were wowed by the West End shows they saw; Jersey Boys, Come from Away, Beauty and the Beast, and Wicked. We luckily got to see behind the scenes at the Royal Albert Hall, and saw where performers such as Adele and our own Niall Horan have graced the stage.

Of course, among the many highlights of the trip was the fantastic Talent Show in Manchester, where our students prepared and performed for their peers and chaperones. We were simply blown away by the confidence and ability our students displayed. All in a days work!

With tired legs and new friendships, we headed home and wrapped up our week with a quiz. Questions on everything from the theme park, shows and even the bus driver were asked! The deserving winners bagged themselves some Easter chocolate and were egg-static.

The trip was equal parts educational and enjoyable. I think everyone is looking forward to next year already!
