Loreto College sixth years de-stress ahead of Leaving Cert!

The sixth years at Loreto College had a whole activity day organised for them on Wednesday (May 11) to help ease the pressure of the Leaving Cert studies.

Boycey Sports set up some activities for them, including Rock and Roller, Foot Darts, Cube Type Games. Bubble soccer – and the most popular one, Pitch Burst Dunk Tank, which involved volunteers sitting under a balloon filled with water as tennis balls are thrown at the target to burst the balloon!

It’s no surprise that lots of the sixth year teachers were ‘volunteered’ to take the seat and there was lots of water flowing from the balloons!

The sixth years all entered into the spirit of the day and had great fun enjoying the freedom of being outside, and there was lots of music and laughter from the hockey pitch.

It was one of the last activities organised for them before they finish school and sit their Leaving Cert exams, so they all managed to let off some steam and de-stress for a day.

Apache Pizza delivered the food at lunchtime, to fuel everyone up before heading out to the activities, and the day was a great success all round.
