Beware of scam calls and bogus house callers

Scam calls and messages haven’t gone away – they are just getting more sophisticated. Banks, Revenue, HSE, Revenue, gardaí will not text you or call you and ask you for passwords or PIN numbers. Be wary when answering calls apparently from your bank or other institution, even if the number looks familiar.

If you receive a call and have a suspicion that it is a scam, don not click links or press numbers, or call back. Hang up and ring the number of the service in question by looking up the number from your own records and ask if their staff were contacting you.

There are also some bogus house callers. Please do not allow any strangers gain access to your home unless you are certain of who they are. Beware of leaving your door open at any time.

Alterations

Do you need your clothes let out or taken up after the Covid lock-down weight gain? If so, Beata will be at the club on Fridays at 10.30am to attend to them. Alternatively, leave your clothing or curtains to be renovated and instructions with a member of staff at the club.
