Paddy Casey and Emma Langford are among the artists who will perform during this year's Fleadh Cheoil.

Plans for Céilí Picnic during Fleadh Cheoil confirmed

Céilí Picnic is a pop-up music festival taking place during the Fleadh Cheoil.

Thanks to the success of Céilí Picnic at the Drogheda Fleadh in 2019, the organisers have announced that Céilí Picnic in association with Slane Whiskey returns for Fleadh Cheoil 2022 at the Newbury Hotel.

Céilí Picnic, running from Sunday July 31 to Sunday August 7, is aimed at music lovers seeking to experience the best of Irish céilí, trad, folk, and contemporary music.

After the last band, there is a silent disco every night, when three DJs battle it out for your best dance moves until the wee hours.

Including in the lineup are The Bonny Men and Aindrias De Staic on opening day, July 31, followed by a double header of Paddy Casey and Emma Langford on the bank holiday Monday, August 1.

Ryan Sheridan and Moxie are on August 2, and Brídín and Kíla take to the stage on August 3.

Tickets are available from ticketstop.ie and more details for all events can be found at ceilipicnic.ie/tickets.

The organisers said: “We want all visitors to experience our friendly and safe festival environment during the fleadh – hence, we offer free admission daily outside of our headline events, making it an accessible and integral part of the Fleadh Cheoil experience.

“Start planning your attendance now. We look forward to welcoming you this summer!”
