Bressie's ‘Wake Up, Wind Down’ podcast has been nominated for the Best Daily Podcast at The British Podcast Awards for the second year running.

The Mullingar native and mental health advocate, announced on Twitter that his podcast, ‘Wake Up, Wind Down’ has been nominated at The British Podcast Awards.

‘Wake Up, Wind Down’ is the sister podcast to Breslin’s award-winning ‘Where Is My Mind’ podcast. The podcast, which was launched in April 2020 and finished last month, explores how we can take better care of our heads and hearts.

It helped listeners ‘wake up’ and start their day by clearing their head before the day's chaos begins. It also helped them ‘wind down’ in the evening by re-settling and calming their mind.

He tweeted, “Sweet Jasus, the joy. The #wakeupwinddown podcast nominated for @britpodawards. Up against some big hitters. Thank you.”

The podcast was chosen by over 100 respected independent judges along with other popular podcasts including The Guardian's ‘Today in Focus’, Kate Cocker’s ‘Everyday Positivity’ and The Economist's ‘The Intelligence’.

The judging panel chaired by British journalist Emily Maitlis reportedly listened to 319 hours of podcasts with over 1200 entries submitted.

The winners will be announced at the awards show on Saturday July 23 from 2pm.
