Phelan walking on air again this summer

Jason Phelan of Empor is back in the air this summer and will re-live a wing-walking flight he did last September when he joins the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers at Birr Air Display.

The Offaly event is the second of two of Ireland’s premier outdoor events that return for 2022 – it is on August 1; and the Bray Air Display is on July 24.

Both events will team up with the Irish Air Corps, who are celebrating 100 years of Irish military aviation.

The RAF Red Arrows will be at Bray to celebrate the Air Corps centenary year, along with a Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF).

Bray and Birr will both host the Royal Jordanian Falcons and their Extra 300 aircraft, a WWII P51 Mustang, and the Irish Air Corps PC-9 4-ship Silver Swallows Display Team, plus other display acts from across Ireland and the UK.

Jason Phelan will join the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers formation team and their 1940s Boeing Stearman at Birr Air Display.
