Fleadh competitions to be live streamed for the first time

For the first time in the history of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann competitions will be live-streamed to a global audience.

The live streams get underway tomorrow afternoon (Friday) at 1.45pm with the uileann pipes competition (12-15 years) and whistle (12-15). On Saturday, the concertina competition (over 18s) will be broadcast from 9.45am, along with the melodeon (15-18) and banjo (15-18). On Sunday, the final day of the fleadh, the online broadcast starts at 9.45am and will include the flute (over 18s), Irish singing men (over 18s) and on Sunday evening the much anticipated senior céilí bands competition will be broadcast from 6.15pm

The competition streams will be available on the Fleadh Cheoil Facebook page, as well as on the TG4 Player throughout the weekend
