Mullingar family raise €58,000 for the IMNDA

Eamonn, Fee and the extended Dunne family have raised an astonishing amount of money for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association following a series of successful fundraising events.

Eamonn Dunne was diagnosed with the disease and since, he has been on a mission to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

In June, the Dunne family completed the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon in aid of the IMNDA and raised €22,000 along the way.

They then hosted a fundraising night at Kerrigan's Bar that collected a further €23,000.

With the generosity of family, friends and locals, the total number raised for the IMNDA reached an incredible €58,000.

Eamonn’s niece, Ciara, said: “As a family we have been so overwhelmed by the generosity of Mullingar and beyond.

"It's kept us positive during the hard days.

“A huge thank you to everyone who supported us for both events and those who continue to support us as Eamonn fights this disease.”
