Garda victim of 'serious assault' at Mullingar Train Station

A male was arrested in connection with a “serious assault” on a female garda officer at Mullingar Train Station last Tuesday evening.

The garda officer was responding to an incident at the station and in the process was allegedly assaulted by a male. A suspect was subsequently arrested and a file is currently being prepared for the DPP.
