The Lough Lene Angling Association’s annual competition raised €8210 for the North Westmeath Hospice, and a cheque has now been handed over.

Tommy Fagan and Andy Cosgrove from the association met Margaret Claffey, chairperson of the local hospice, and Cepta Wallace, committee member, on the shores of Lough Lene yesterday, November 17 to present the funds.

Ms Claffey said the North Westmeath Hospice are truly grateful to Lough Lene Angling Association for their continued support.
