Dog poop approach ‘not working’ – Glynn

The county council needs to take its head out of the sand on the issue of dog poop, Cllr Ken Glynn said at the November meeting of the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad.

“Our policy is not working,” he said, as he queried whether the district had any plans to roll out dog poop bins around the town and along popular walkways.

The response to his query stated that the ‘Any Bag, Any Bin’ approach has been adopted for the disposal of dog waste, and that public litter bins are available at the entrances to the greenways and along popular walking routes in the towns and villages in the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad.
