Cake sale for North Westmeath Hospice at St Finian's College

The sixth year students of St Finian’s College, Mullingar, recently held a cake sale for the North Westmeath Hospice.

The students were keen that the hospice should be the beneficiary of the proceeds of €300. A number of students acknowledged that their families had first-hand experience of hospice and that they or a loved one could potentially need to avail of palliative care services in the future.

The North Westmeath Hospice are grateful to the students and their teachers, for supporting a local charity for the local people.

Pictured are sixth year students presenting the cheque for €300 to Margaret Claffey, NWH chairperson, and Trudy Maguire, NWH administrator. Also in the photo is St Finian’s principal John McHale.
