Gowan Auto announce new dealer principal for Lough Owel Motors

Gowan Auto, Peugeot importers in Ireland have announced Barry Coleman as the new dealer principal of Lough Owel Motors, the main Peugeot dealers in Mullingar.

Barry started his career in the motor industry in Westmeath Motors in 1995. In 2012, he moved to O’Brien’s Hyundai, and over the following 10 years he helped to successfully establish and grow the Korean brand in the midlands.

Ray Fenton established Lough Owel Motors in 1994 as a main Peugeot dealer, and after many successful years in business, Ray has decided to step back: “I am thrilled to be handing over the business to someone with as much experience and enthusiasm as Barry,” he said.

“I am very confident that our Peugeot customers will be in good hands and would like to wish Barry the best of luck with the new venture.” Barry said he is looking forward to taking on the challenge. “Peugeot’s fantastic passenger car line-up, including the new Peugeot 408, which has just been shortlisted for 2023 European Car of the Year, new 308, the family favourites 3008 SUV as well as the seven-seater 5008 SUV, together with the excellent van range, will undoubtedly spark further interest in Mullingar.

Lough Owel Motors retail the full line-up of petrol, diesel, electric and hybrid Peugeot passenger cars as well as light commercial vehicles, with a range of quality used cars for sale.
