Mullingar Rotary Club present donations to local charities

At a time when demands on charities are higher than ever, Mullingar Rotary Club have been able to make significant donations to three local charities who are at the forefront of helping people in need in the community.

“Through recent fundraising efforts, we were happy to be able to present cheques for €2,500 each to The Society of St Vincent de Paul Mullingar, St Dominic’s Community Council Meals on Wheels Mullingar, and Temporary Emergency Accommodation Midlands,” said Rotary Mullingar president, Pat Webb.

Mr Webb praised the work of the volunteers in each of the charities who give so generously of their time and their skills to help those in need in these difficult times.

The cheques were presented to Joe O’Meara of The Society of St Vincent de Paul, Mullingar; Donald Bell of St Dominic’s Community Council Meals on Wheels Mullingar; and Terry McCague of Temporary Emergency Accommodation Midlands.
