Teachers Stephen McKee and Lydia Igoe are leading the Eureka Alumni Association which will have its first event on March 8.

School launches Alumni Association

Eureka Secondary School in Kells is inviting its past pupils from Westmeath to get involved in its soon to be established Alumni Association.

In a statement released this week, Eureka says that the association "will serve to connect past-pupils through a diverse range of events, information sharing, mentoring and career support".

The lead teachers in charge of driving the initiative are Stephen McKee and Lydia Igoe. Lydia stated: "We are really excited about launching the Eureka Alumni Association. I am a former student myself so I'm looking forward to seeing the association get off the ground. The Alumni Association will facilitate socialising and networking, while at the same time helping to strengthen and rekindle old bonds between past-pupils and former teachers and staff members.'

"We invite all Eureka alumni and former staff members to join our association," continued Stephen McKee. "If you have a cause, campaign, mission or business, please let us know how you’re progressing and allow us to help promote and engage support for your ideas and initiatives."

"Please get in touch with us at the school or across any of our social media platforms if you would like to get involved. Our first event will be in the school on March 8 to coincide with International Women's Day. All former students and staff members of the school are invited and we look forward to meeting up with old friends and re-connecting with the Eureka family," concluded McKee.
