Holy Family NS perform Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Sixth class pupils from Holy Family NS performed Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Friday February 3 at Mullingar Arts Centre. Rehearsals had been ongoing since September last under the direction of Steve and Eadaoin from the arts centre.

School principal Michael Molloy said he and his colleagues are especially thankful to Sean Lynch for facilitating the project: “Steve, Eadaoin and all the staff brought a touch of professionalism and class to our show.

“It was a huge opportunity and honour for our pupils to perform on this stage. Every pupil gave their best and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

“For me as principal, it was hugely rewarding and satisfying to see pupils acting and singing so confidently in front of a large audience. Every seat in the arts centre sold out and there was an overwhelming positive atmosphere on the night.”

Michael said another great memory has been made for everyone involved.

“My final word of thanks and sincere appreciation goes to all the staff from Holy Family who made this possible. Special thanks to school secretary, Marcella, who organised tickets for raffle and sold tickets for the show.

“The parents association sourced all the spot prizes on night. My parting words go to Mr O’Keeffe and Mr Foster (sixth class teachers) for their ongoing dedication and support to all sixth class pupils. I feel very fortunate to have such excellent teachers leading sixth class. They and our pupils did us proud!”
