Westmeath camogie host three-day skills camp

A three-day camogie training academy will take place in Clonkill GAA grounds from April 4 to April 6.

Organised by Westmeath Camogie, this elite skills academy is aimed at developing young athletes from ages 12-16 and is being overseen by the Westmeath senior camogie squad.

The academy will cover a range of areas, including learning gym fundamental movements in a safe space. There will be a focus on specialised skills, with masterclass sessions and participants will benefit from informational talks on nutrition, and to how to prepare the mind to get the best out of yourself.

There will also be a range of fun activities on and off the pitch. Participants can also benefit from the advice that will be imparted from members of the Westmeath senior camogie team, whose experience will give this academy a definite edge. Those joining will also go through a skills challenge, as well as much more over the course of the three days.

Spaces are limited and to secure your place, book online through Eventbrite. Westmeath Camogie will be happy to assist anyone looking for further information, or wishing to apply and you can contact them via Instagram (@westmeathcamogie) or Facebook (Westmeath Camogie page).

The cost of the camp is €60 and this includes limited edition Westmeath sliders.
